Early 20th century view of the Tsar’s Pavilion at the XV All-Russian Commercial, Industrial and Art Exhibition, held in Moscow in 1882.
The grandiose exhibition complex consisted of 80 buildings and structures, located on the Khodynkha Field — where hundreds of people were killed during the celebrations marking Nicholas II’s Coronation took place in May 1896.
It is interesting to note that this pavilion is the only building of the grandiose exhibition ensemble that has survived to the present day.
