The coronation dress of Empress Catherine II
The coronation dress worn by Catherine the Great, was made in Russia in 1762. It is made of silver brocade in the Rococo style and consists of a bodice, a skirt with a circumference of more than five meters and a train 3.5 meters long. The neckline and sleeves are decorated with thin linen «Brabant» lace.
