Нижний Новгород, огромное неоготическое здание промышленного корпуса банка Рукавишниковых на Нижне-Волжской набережной (1913-16 гг, архитектор Фёдор Шехтель).
Изначально внутри планировалось разместить торгово-банковские предприятия и нижегородскую товарную биржу, но в связи с началом Первой мировой войны ещё до открытия здание было переоборудовано под швейную фабрику. Она обеспечивала армию военным обмундированием — шинелями, гимнастерками и солдатским бельём👙
Фабрика, получившая в советское время название «Маяк», проработала практически 100 лет — до 2015 года. Пару лет спустя здание решили переоборудовать под модный нынче формат «арт-кластера», с тех пор внутри идёт затянувшийся ремонт. Надеюсь, что он пощадит сохранившиеся артефакты — судя по фото в сети, уцелели напольная и настенная плитка, кованые лестничные ограждения и оформления лифтовых шахт.

Nizhny Novgorod, a huge neo-gothic building of the industrial building of the Rukavishnikovs’ bank on the Nizhne-Volzhskaya embankment (1913-16, architect Fyodor Shekhtel).
Initially, it was planned to locate trade and banking enterprises and the Nizhny Novgorod commodity exchange inside, but because of the First World War before the opening the building was converted into a sewing factory.
This factory worked for almost 100 years — until 2015. A couple of years later, it was decided to re-equip the building for the fashionable format of the «art cluster», since then there has been a protracted renovation inside. I hope that it will keep the surviving artifacts — judging by the photos on the network, the floor and wall tiles, forged staircases and the decoration of the elevator shafts have survived.
