Ограда городской усадьбы Беляева в Рюмином переулке; появилась в 1903-1904 гг одновременно с перестройкой главного усадебного дома конца XVIII в. в стиле модерн.
Видела в сети версию, что ограда якобы выполнена в виде «расползающихся весной змей»😬 Честно говоря, отфоткала её вдоль и поперек и в процессе ни разу не возникла мысль о змеях — показалось, что это скорее любимая модерном «растительная» тема, очередная стилизация под старый добрый «удар бича» Германа Обриста.

The fence of the city estate of Belyaev in Moscow; appeared in 1903-1904 simultaneously with the restructuring of the main house (built at the end of the 18th century) in Art Nouveau style.
I saw a version that the fence was made in the form of «spreading snakes in the spring»😬 To be honest, I took a picture of it up and down and in the process the thought of snakes never arose — it seemed that this was more of a «plant» theme loved by Art Nouveau, another stylization under the good old «peitschenhieb» by Hermann Obrist.
