On 10th September 2016, this monument to Grand Duchess Olga Konstantinovna of Russia (1851-1926), Queen of the Hellenes, was unveiled in the city of Thessaloniki, Greece.
The grand opening was timed to coincide with the 165th anniversary of the Queen’s birth. The granite and bronze monument was made in Moscow by sculptor Andrei Korobtsov and architect Konstantin Fomin.
Queen Olga died on 17th November 1936, she was buried in the Royal Cemetery, Tatoi Palace, Greece.
