Тверь, бывшие казармы (жилые дома для рабочих) Рождественской мануфактуры П.В. Берга (1901-1905 гг., архитектор К. Шмидт).
Из-за торцевых фасадов с огромными окнами, форма которых повторяет ход лестничных маршей, так и тянет назвать Рождественские «младшими сёстрами» казармы «Париж» в Морозовском городке неподалёку (фото 2). Если бы не одно жирное НО: «Париж» возведён на 10 лет позже и другим архитектором (В. Терский).
Так что, как ни крути, это «Париж» тут «младший брат», несмотря на то, что он в разы больше, гораздо выше, а его фасад сложнее и выразительнее, чем у казарм Берга.

Because of the front facades with huge windows, the shape of which repeats the course of the flights of stairs, it is tempting to call these ones «the younger sisters» of the «Paris» barracks in the Morozovsky town (photo 2). But the fact is that «Paris» was erected 10 years later by another architect.
So, whatever one may say, the «Paris» here is «the younger brother», despite the fact that it is several times larger, much higher, and its facade is more complex and expressive than Berg’s barracks.
