Grand Duchess Maria Pavlovna with Fyodor Morozov, St. Petersburg. 16th March 1910
Maria Pavlovna was the mother of the traitor Grand Duke Kirill Vladimirovich. An ambitious and power hungry woman, she saw herself as the “Second Empress” holding her own “Court” at the Vladimir Palace in Sr. Petersburg.
She was well known for her acid tongue and spiteful demeanour, responsible for spreading much malicious gossip about both Emperor Nicholas and Empress Alexandra Feodorovna.
