Роскошный деревянный терем с башней в месте с романтичным названием Мариенбург (район Гатчины).
Дом построен в 1892 году (так что хронологически это ещё даже не модерн), имя первого владельца история не сохранила; сейчас он известен как «дача Грачёва», т.к. в начале XX века принадлежал инженеру Министерства путей сообщения В.В. Грачеву. Известно также, что летом 1904 года в этом доме снимали дачу супруги Зинаида Гиппиус и Дмитрий Мережковский.
В советское время дом был национализирован; помимо жилых квартир, здесь — на первом этаже — в разные годы размещались аптека, хозяйственный магазин, магазин «Садовод». Увы, на момент моего визита (июль 2022) никаких общедоступных магазинов в доме уже не было, он обнесен забором и вплотную не подойти (не говоря уже о том, чтоб просочиться внутрь).

Luxurious wooden house with a tower in a place with a romantic name Marienburg (district of Gatchina).
The house was built in 1892, history has not preserved the name of the first owner; now it is known as «Grachev’s dacha» — at the beginning of 20th century it belonged to the engineer of the Ministry of Railways V.V. Grachev.
In Soviet times the house was nationalized; in addition to residential apartments, here — on the ground floor — in different years there was a pharmacy, a hardware store, a «Gardener» store. Alas, at the time of my visit (July 2022), there were no public stores in the house anymore, it was surrounded by a fence and it’s impossible to come close or get inside.
