It is interesting to note, that Grand Duke Dimitri Pavlovich (1891-1942), an excellent equestrian, competed in the 1912 Olympics games in Stockholm. He competed in the Equestrian Individual and Team Jumping events. He placed ninth in Individual Jumping and fifth in Team Jumping.
